LAKE CHARLES — The Louisiana Democratic Party was one of three organizations to announce its endorsement of Dustin Granger in the race for Louisiana Treasurer, joined by the Independent Women’s Organization and Alliance For Good Government. The trio of endorsements join a growing list of supporters that includes Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Davante Lewis, former U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, Illinois Treasurer Michael W. Frerichs, former US Senate candidate Luke Mixon, political strategist James Carville, the Louisiana AFL-CIO, the United Rural Democrats, the Democratic Treasurers Association, and Civil Rights Activist and former US Senate candidate Gary Chambers, Jr.

In response to the endorsement by the Louisiana Democratic Party, Granger said:

“I believe that Louisiana deserves a State Treasurer who will put the interests of our people first. My focus is on smart investing, accountability, and fostering economic growth. With the support of the state party behind me, I can see my vision of diversifying investments and embracing innovation becoming a reality. Together we can create a brighter future for all Louisianans!.”

In response to the endorsement by the Alliance For Good Government, Granger said:

“The Alliance is a bipartisan member organization that aims to foster, protect and promote the welfare and interest of the citizens of the State of Louisiana. I am grateful

that my vision for a more prosperous Louisiana resonated with their ranks.”

In response to the endorsement by the Independent Women’s Organization, Granger said:

“The Independent Women’s Organization supports Democratic candidates who are allies in the struggle for women's equality, and I am proud to call myself an ally. Supporting women during this perilous time with your rights rolled back and Louisiana maternal mortality rates at a national high is especially important to me.”
